In November ABC Classics asked the public to join the Classic Choir to premiere Deborah Cheetham's new Christmas carol, Christmas With You. With over 1,500 individual video submissions this new works world premiere video of Christmas With You will broadcast at 8:15am AEDT on December 15, 2020.The artwork for this project is titled Nyirram turt-barram (The Morning Star Story) created by <a href="https://www.deannegilson.com/">Deanne Gilson</a> and can be viewed on <a href="https://www.abc.net.au/classic/read-and-watch/music-reads/deanne-gilson-morning-star/12821968">ABC Classics' website</a>.

After the year that it’s been, ABC Classic brought together Australia through song. They asked leading composer and Yorta Yorta woman Deborah Cheetham to compose a brand new carol, giving voice to what Christmas means in 2020, and lifting our spirits as we approach the end of the year. Christmas With You captures the festive mood of comfort and joy as well as paying tribute to our shared experiences. Think ‘smiling through tears’ and you’ll get a sense of what Deborah has created.
