A complete performance of Handel’s iconic oratorio featuring the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, filmed live in concert at Melbourne Town Hall, December 2021.

The 38th Sir Bernard Heinze Memorial Concert. In this performance, RMP presented Messiah for the world record 242nd time, in an unbroken annual sequence since 1853. After a long period of lockdowns in Melbourne due to the pandemic, this event marked a triumphant return to live performance as the RMP took to the stage of its spiritual home at the grand Melbourne Town Hall for the first time in 18 months.
